The "Tomahawk" by Yikun Discs serves as a versatile midrange for straight lines and controlled throws in the mid-distance range. With a speed of 5 and an exceptional glide of 6, it covers distances typical midranges often can't reach. The flight ratings of 0/0 for turn and fade promise neutral behavior, though in practice, the disc shows slight turnover tendencies, balancing between straight flight and a gentle rightward drift. It suits both beginners and advanced players equally, as it lacks aggressive stability and rewards precise throwing control. The Tortoise Line plastic offers solid grip at a fair price-to-performance ratio. In the air, the "Tomahawk" follows the thrown line with remarkable consistency. The high glide value keeps the disc airborne longer than expected, while minimal fade at the end requires little leftward correction. With clean backhand technique, it flies laser-straight, though higher arm speeds activate turn and allow for smooth rightward curves. The sharp wing shape and sloping shoulder create a unique flight feel, setting it apart from classic midranges. Players using moderate power get precise straight paths without early hyzer flip. With more power, the disc turns controllably to the right and holds that line until landing. For anhyzer throws, the "Tomahawk" delivers long, even curves that don't break early. Thrown on hyzer, it remains stable without aggressively fading back. Forehand throws benefit from the high glide and line stability but require clean release angles. Players with Ultimate Frisbee experience will quickly adapt to this disc, as it responds similarly to throwing angles. Advanced players appreciate its predictability for tunnel shots and precise approaches between 60 and 90 meters. As an alternative to the Mako3, it offers comparable straightness with its own character—ideal for those seeking neutral midranges with above-average glide.
