Stability
Understable

The "Erlang" by Yikun Discs fills the gap as a fairway driver between controlled midranges and fast distance drivers. With a speed of 7, it can achieve distance even with moderate arm speed and is ideal for technical fairway shots requiring precise turnover lines. Its versatility ranges from tight wooded gaps to open fairways, where controlled right turns can accelerate the pace of play. In flight, its understable nature is evident: a turn of -3 ensures an early right fade for backhand throws, while glide 3 provides moderate flight time without excessive float. Fade 2 delivers a noticeable left finish, reliably concluding the flight and preventing uncontrolled rollaways. This combination creates an S-curve, most pronounced with a flat release, while a slight hyzer angle transitions into a straight line with a gentle finish. For backhand turnovers, the "Erlang" is ready to perform: thrown flat or with slight anhyzer, it reliably turns right before fading back to center. For forehand throws, it delivers stable flex shots where the initial anhyzer angle transitions into a controlled left fade. Hyzer flips are achievable even with low power, making the disc especially appealing for beginners looking to experiment with understable flight patterns for the first time. Experienced players also use it for precise approaches under 100 meters when the basket is tucked right behind obstacles.
