Overstable

The "Libra" by XCOM Discs functions as an overstable distance driver with a speed of 11, bridging the gap between controlled distance throws and reliable flight lines in windy conditions. This speed class targets throwers who already have experience with faster discs and are specifically seeking stability for challenging conditions. Its use ranges from open fairways to situations where crosswinds or forced throws demand a predictable flight path. In the air, the combination of glide 5, turn -1, and fade 2 creates a balanced flight profile: the disc maintains a stable line during the mid-flight phase, allows for a slight rightward movement at appropriate throwing speeds, and finishes with a noticeable but not excessive fade. This characteristic ensures the "Libra" neither turns over too early nor veers off uncontrollably. The overstable orientation also provides enough resistance in headwinds to maintain the intended flight path. For intermediate-level throwers (skill level 3 and up), this disc is particularly suited for hyzer throws that produce a calculated S-curve, as well as flat releases that drift right late in flight. Forehand throws also benefit from its stability, as the disc shows little tendency for unwanted turnovers. On longer distances up to around 100 meters, the flight remains predictable, while shorter, precise approaches are aided by the controlled fade.
