Tasmanian Devil
The "Tasmanian Devil" by Wild Discs serves as a versatile fairway driver for controlled distances between 80 and 100 meters. With a speed of 7, it bridges the gap between midranges and faster distance drivers, making it suitable for technical wooded courses as well as open fairways with moderate wind. As a stable disc, it offers a balanced mix of initial turn and reliable fade at the finish—comparable to well-known all-rounders like the Leopard3 or TL, yet with its own unique flight profile. The flight characteristics unfold in three distinct phases: After release, the disc holds its line steadily before the -2 turn initiates a gentle rightward curve at medium to high arm speed. A glide of 4 ensures efficient float and noticeably extends the flight phase. In the final stage, the reliable fade of 2 kicks in, bringing the disc back to the left in a controlled manner without abrupt dumping. This combination of moderate turn and balanced fade creates an S-shaped flight path that’s highly predictable. For hyzer releases, the "Tasmanian Devil" flies straight with a gentle landing, while flat throws fully showcase the S-curve. Anhyzer angles produce sweeping turnover lines with late fadeback. The disc performs well for both backhand and forehand throws and is rated beginner-friendly—its moderate flight numbers allow newcomers to achieve success with controlled distance shots. For experienced players, it serves as a precise tool for shaping shots and navigating tight fairways.
