Queen
# Westside Queen The Westside Golf Discs "Queen" stands as a fast distance driver with an unusually compact rim for speed 14. This combination makes it more accessible than classic high-speed bombers and opens the door for intermediate arm speeds to achieve true distance throws. The flat, comfortable grip feels closer to slower fairway drivers and allows for clean releases even without maximum power. In VIP and Tournament plastic, the disc showcases its characteristic understability most clearly, while Origio Burst offers slightly more initial stability. With a turn of -3 and fade of 2, the "Queen" demands precise timing and clean release angles. When thrown flat or with too much anhyzer, the disc quickly turns into aggressive turnover lines that become hard to control beyond the 110-meter mark. However, when released on a slight hyzer, it unlocks its full potential: the disc smoothly drifts right, holds the line steadily, and fades back moderately. This S-curve delivers impressive distance with relatively low effort. It’s less suitable for forehand throws—the understability dominates too much here. Advanced players with 100 to 110 meters of power will find the "Queen" a reliable distance driver for wide turnovers and controlled hyzer flips. Beginners, however, often struggle with its flippiness, which can lead to unpredictable flight paths with unrefined technique. Those who already throw discs like the "Wraith" or "Katana" consistently will appreciate the "Queen" as a useful addition for specific distance lines—though many will find it too temperamental as a primary driver. Its niche lies in situations where maximum distance with controlled right drift is needed.
