# Viking Discs Odin The Viking Discs "Odin" serves as a distance driver for players with medium to higher arm speed. As an overstable 12-speed driver, it handles situations requiring controlled distance in windy conditions or on hyzer lines. The disc is available in various plastic types—Storm offers comfortable flexibility, Armor provides reliable grip even in changing conditions, while Ground Plastic has proven effective for field testing at higher altitudes. Compared to classic overstable drivers like the Destroyer, the "Odin" tends to be slightly less stable, giving it a more accessible character. In flight, the "Odin" exhibits a slight turn on a neutral release before finishing with a stable fade. With sufficient arm speed, the disc develops good carry and maintains its line throughout the entire flight. When thrown on hyzer, it flips up controllably and utilizes the full flight path without turning over unpredictably. The fade kicks in reliably, ensuring predictable landings. At lower speeds, the disc tends to turn early in backhand throws, while forehand throws surprisingly showcase stable flight characteristics with solid distance. For intermediate players with developed throwing power, the "Odin" works as a versatile distance driver suitable for both hyzer flips and power lines. Advanced throwers appreciate its combination of controllable turn and reliable finish. Beginners should have sufficient arm speed to get the disc up to speed—without enough power, the "Odin" becomes less predictable. Its forehand compatibility makes it an option for players seeking distance and stability on that throwing side.
