The "Zeal" from Uplay Disc Golf is designed with a speed of 3 and a noticeably understable flight, making it ideal for beginners and players with moderate arm speed. As a putter with a high glide rating of 4, it works well for mid-range putts and controlled approach shots on straight to slightly right-turning lines. Compared to the Innova Dart, the disc turns more easily, offering an accessible option for players who prefer understable flight characteristics. Available in both Inspire Firm and Inspire Soft plastics, it caters to different grip preferences—the firm version is particularly stiff and has a feel reminiscent of a bottle cap. With a turn of -2 and fade of 0, the "Zeal" develops a noticeable right turn on longer throws without fading left at the end. The pronounced glide extends the flight phase, allowing for surprising distance for a 3-speed putter. With too much power, the disc tends to turn over or even roll, so controlled throws with moderate speed yield the best results. Susceptibility to wind is one of this understable disc's weaknesses—though in calm conditions, it reliably holds straight lines on approach distances. For beginners, the "Zeal" offers a gentle introduction to understable flight behavior, as it remains usable even with lower throwing power. More advanced intermediate players use it strategically for turnover lines or soft landings on straight putts. Backhand throws benefit from the natural right turn, while forehand shots require precise control. As a versatile putter for bag minimalists or a training disc for controlled throws, the "Zeal" excels in low to mid-speed ranges.
