Pathfinder
The "Pathfinder" by Thought Space Athletics is a versatile midrange disc that covers everything from controlled approaches to precise fairway shots. With a speed of 5 and glide of 5, it offers enough distance for mid-range throws while maintaining a manageable pace suitable for both beginners and advanced players. This disc bridges the gap between pure putters and fast fairway drivers, making it ideal for shots where reliability matters more than maximum distance. Its flat top and gently rounded edges ensure a comfortable grip for both forehand and backhand throws, while the Ethos and Ethereal plastics provide a tacky surface. In flight, the "Pathfinder" exhibits a notably straight trajectory with minimal turn and a controlled fade of 1 at the end. The high glide keeps the disc airborne longer without causing unpredictable drift or early dumping. When released cleanly, it flies almost dead straight, only finishing with a gentle left fade during the landing phase, ensuring reliable placement in the target zone. This stability holds up even in moderate headwinds, keeping the flight path predictable. Compared to similar midranges like the Discraft Buzzz or Mint Mustang, the "Pathfinder" falls into the same flight class but stands out due to its exceptionally balanced combination of glide and fade. For straight approaches between 60 and 90 meters, the "Pathfinder" delivers consistent results, whether thrown flat or with slight hyzer. Hyzer flips are also achievable with enough arm speed, allowing the disc to smoothly level out and hold its line. Beginners benefit from its forgiving straight-flight characteristics, while experienced players can use it for precise tunnel shots and controlled anhyzer-to-flat lines. Its broad versatility makes it a staple midrange in many bags.
