The "Animus" by Thought Space Athletics bridges the gap between controlled fairway drivers and true distance drivers. As an 11-speed disc with a comparatively comfortable rim, it's designed for players seeking extra distance without sacrificing precision. This disc performs equally well on open fairways and in technical situations requiring full S-curves. The Aura plastic version offers exceptional grip and durability, while Ethos runs tend to be more overstable with stronger fade. With a speed of 11, glide of 5, turn of 0, and fade of 2, the "Animus" appears overstable on paper – yet behaves noticeably more neutral in practice. At moderate arm speeds, the disc develops noticeable turn that varies with throwing power and tailwind conditions. Advanced players experience balanced S-curves with gentle right drift and controlled fade at the finish. When thrown with high power or into headwinds, the disc may turn more than expected, requiring slight hyzer releases for straight lines. Ethereal and Aura runs tend toward more glide and turn, while Ethos versions remain more stable and better handle headwinds. When thrown on hyzer, the "Animus" holds its line reliably with predictable landings. Released flat, it showcases its signature S-curve with pronounced high-speed turn and moderate low-speed fade. The neutral stability makes it suitable for forehand throws when thrown with proper power – excessive force may cause uncontrolled turnover. Intermediate players with solid technique will find the "Animus" a versatile distance driver for various lines, while beginners with sufficient arm speed can use it for their first longer throws. Advanced players appreciate its combination of distance and control, particularly in Aura plastic.
