Trace
The "Trace" by Streamline Discs serves as a versatile distance driver for players with medium to high arm speed. With a speed rating of 11, it bridges the gap between controlled fairway drives and full-distance throws without falling into the category of pure max-distance discs. Its uses range from precise fairway lines to long anhyzer shots and powerful hyzer throws in the wind. In practice, the Trace proves to be a reliable workhorse for any bag, performing well on open fairways as well as in technical terrain. In flight, the disc combines speed 11 with glide 5 for an efficient flight phase that delivers distance without requiring excessive power. The -1 turn ensures a controlled rightward movement during the high-speed portion of the flight, neither flipping too early nor staying completely straight on a clean release. With a fade of 2, the flight reliably finishes left without being overly aggressive. The stability leans slightly overstable, adapting to different arm speeds: advanced players use the Trace for straight to slightly turning lines, while those with less power experience a stable flight with moderate fade. Differences between Neutron, Proton, and Plasma plastics mainly come down to feel and grip, with Plasma being slightly softer and Proton offering the firmest structure. On the course, the Trace performs solidly for both backhand and forehand throws. Hyzer lines remain predictable, while anhyzer shots feature controlled turnover without excessive drift. For intermediate players, it provides an accessible entry into faster drivers without feeling too overstable right away. Advanced throwers appreciate its flexibility for straight drives and shaped shots. The Trace is especially suited for players seeking a dependable distance driver that handles various release angles and techniques without extreme flight characteristics.
