Jet
The "Jet" by Streamline Discs serves as an understable distance driver for throwers with medium to high arm speed. With a speed rating of 11, it bridges the gap between controllable fairway drivers and maximum-distance discs. Particularly in lighter weights around 168–169 grams, it reveals its potential for long throws with moderate power, while heavier models at 173–175 grams offer increased stability and wind resistance. The disc is primarily available in Neutron SL plastic, though Proton SL versions are noticeably more stable and better suited for powerful throws. In flight, the Jet develops its signature S-curve: the -3 turn reliably activates at sufficient throwing speed, flipping up from hyzer before drifting moderately to the right. The glide of 5 noticeably extends the flight phase, carrying the disc forward even as speed diminishes. A fade of 2 ensures a controlled leftward finish, significantly gentler than overstable distance drivers. Proton variants resist turn more effectively, holding straighter for longer, while Neutron models align more closely with the listed flight numbers. At elevations around 1,500 meters, stability increases further. For intermediate players with throwing distances between 280 and 400 feet, the Jet performs as a reliable distance driver on open fairways. It enables turnover lines without excessive turn and works well for both backhand and forehand throws—the latter benefiting from the added stability of Proton versions. Hyzer flips succeed with moderate power, while stronger throwers can exploit the full S-curve. For players with lower arm speed, it remains neutral to slightly understable, offering distance potential without unpredictable flight paths.
