Stability
Overstable

The "Scale" by Reptilian Disc Golf serves as an approach putter for precise shots under challenging conditions. With a speed of 2 and glide of 1, it intentionally flies low and lands exactly where it touches down—ideal for controlled upshots between 15 and 60 meters where excess glide could lead to overshooting. Its overstable nature makes it wind-resistant and reliable in situations where other putters might deviate. The Fossil plastic provides a stiff, grippy surface that maintains its shape even after tree contact. In flight, the "Scale" exhibits a straight trajectory with minimal glide before its pronounced fade of 3 reliably pulls it left. A turn of 0 means virtually no right drift on a clean release—keeping the flight path predictable and stable. On short distances, it flies almost arrow-straight to the target, while more powerful throws highlight its overstable character. The comparatively shallow profile for a putter with these flight numbers ensures a solid grip, though it may feel unusual for forehand throws. Those familiar with discs like the Westside Harp will find a similar philosophy here, but with even less glide. For intermediate players, the "Scale" works well as a specialized utility tool: tunnel shots under low branches, headwind approaches, or situations where the disc must stop immediately are among its strengths. Advanced players appreciate its consistency for aggressive hyzer lines. Beginners, however, may struggle, as the combination of low speed and strong fade demands precise throwing mechanics. It excels in backhand throws—the deep rim can make clean forehand releases tricky. As a complement to common approach discs, it fills niches where more glide isn’t reliable.
