The M4 by Prodigy serves as a versatile midrange, filling the role of a controlled all-around disc for nearly any situation on the course. With its slightly understable design, it excels for precise fairway throws and approach shots, reliably holding the intended line. It particularly shines on wooded courses or technical layouts, thanks to its forgiving flight that remains predictable even with varying release angles. The flat profile sits comfortably in the hand, allowing for clean releases without requiring excessive torque. In the air, the M4 flies straight with a slight right drift, creating a gentle S-curve at moderate throwing speeds. The high glide rating of 5 ensures ample float, while the subtle turn of -1 enables controlled turnovers without the risk of the disc flipping over uncontrollably. A mild fade of 1 at the end gently brings the flight path back to the left, ensuring reliable landings. This balance between turn and fade makes it far more predictable than highly understable alternatives, offering precise distance control between 60 and 90 meters. On hyzer angles, the M4 holds the line for a long time before standing up slightly, while flat releases produce a subtle rightward curve. For anhyzer lines, it provides enough stability to avoid turning over too early. It performs cleanly for both backhand and forehand throws, with forehand shots benefiting from its controlled stability. Beginners appreciate its forgiving nature and instant control, while experienced players use it for shaping shots and precise line work. In the popular 400G, 400, and 500 plastics, the flight characteristics remain consistent over many rounds.
