The "F1" from Prodigy Disc serves as an overstable fairway driver in the 7-speed category, covering throws that demand reliable fade and wind stability. With its flat top and compact profile, it's ideal for controlled fairway shots between 75 and 90 meters, where the disc won't drift right even in headwinds. The 400 and 400G plastics, along with the stiffer 750 variant, offer varying levels of grip and durability, with the 750 version being particularly resistant to wear. Compared to the Innova Eagle or Firebird, the F1 positions itself as a slightly slower alternative with similar reliability, yet it stands out with its hand feel and flat shape. In flight, the F1 exhibits a distinctly overstable path with a speed of 7, glide of 4, turn of 0, and fade of 3. The glide carries the disc over mid-range distances, while the 0 turn ensures it stays on hyzer lines without developing unwanted right drift on powerful throws. The pronounced fade delivers a strong left finish, proving especially useful for approach shots into the green or in crosswinds. Fresh models fly noticeably more overstable than after extended use, where the disc finishes more moderately and allows for flatter lines. However, its stability remains dominant enough throughout its lifespan to serve as a workhorse in the bag. For hyzer throws and forced anhyzer shots that need to flex back to center, the F1 delivers reliable results. It performs cleanly against the wind on forehand shots, holding its line steady, while remaining controllable on backhand throws with moderate power. Advanced players with a range of 90 to 110 meters appreciate it as a precise fairway driver for technical holes, while professionals use it strategically for utility shots or headwind situations. Beginners may quickly hit limits due to its high stability, as the F1 offers little margin for error and tends to pull left early with insufficient arm speed.
