The "D4 Max" by Prodigy Disc is specifically designed for beginners and players with moderate arm speed who want maximum distance without high velocity. As an understable distance driver, it unlocks distances unattainable with slower discs while forgiving technical imperfections thanks to its forgiving flight characteristics. It shines on open fairways with room for wide arcs, while tight corridors demand more precise control. With a speed of 12 and glide of 6, the disc generates impressive lift even with low throwing power, while a turn of -4 ensures a pronounced rightward curve on backhand throws. The moderate fade of 1 only slightly counteracts this rotation, keeping the flight path predominantly right-turning. Advanced players with higher arm speed will experience pronounced turnover effects, causing the disc to drift right throughout its flight. These flight characteristics make it a tool for extreme anhyzer lines or intentional rollers when released flat enough. For beginners, the "D4 Max" serves as their first distance driver, offering usable throws despite its high-speed rating. Thrown on anhyzer, the rightward curve intensifies, while hyzer angles partially compensate for the natural turn, creating straighter lines. Forehand throws require more finesse, as the disc tends to flip left quickly. Experienced players use it strategically for long turnover lines or leverage its extreme turn for creative curve shots around obstacles.
