The "A2" from Prodigy Disc serves as an overstable approach midrange for situations where control matters more than distance. With its beadless, flat design and compact rim, it feels like a small driver in the hand, enabling precise throws at short to medium ranges. Particularly in 400-series plastic, it features a slight dome and a bit more glide, while the 300-series version feels more direct and grippy. The 750-series variant offers added durability with similarly dependable flight characteristics. For flex shots, scrambles from tricky lies, and windy approaches, this disc is a solid choice. In the air, extreme stability dominates: even with a flat release, the "A2" immediately snaps into a sharp hyzer angle and lands with strong fade. The low glide ensures it drops quickly without gaining unwanted extra distance. Its flight closely resembles Prodigy’s beaded "A1"—both follow nearly identical paths, though the "A2" sits more comfortably in some hands due to its beadless design. Compared to Westside’s "Harp," it feels slightly faster while delivering similar reliability for overstable lines. The "A2" excels for forehand throws: its low profile and familiar grip allow for powerful, controlled releases without fear of unwanted turnover. It also performs consistently for backhand flex shots. Advanced and experienced players value this midrange for technical lines, tight fairways, and utility tasks. Beginners should first gain experience with less stable discs, as the "A2" forgives few mistakes and struggles to generate distance without sufficient arm speed. However, for those seeking a reliable overstable option in any weather, this is a precise tool.
