Splash
The "Splash" by Neptune Discs is an overstable putter designed for controlled approaches and short drives where reliability outweighs distance. With a speed of 3, it maintains classic putter tempo and works well for both putting and precise approach shots up to mid-range distances. The combination of moderate glide and strong overstability makes it a solid choice for situations where the disc must not drift uncontrollably. In flight, the Splash exhibits a straight to slightly left-turning path for right-handed backhand throws, thanks to its 0 turn and 1 fade. The neutral turn prevents unwanted rightward tilt, while the moderate fade ensures a predictable landing point at the end of the flight. The overstable character remains consistent even with stronger arm speed, preventing excessive turn. A glide rating of 3 keeps flight time balanced, avoiding both early sinking and uncontrolled floating. For hyzer throws, the Splash reliably follows the release angle until landing, while anhyzer lines can be controlled back to center. Forehand throws benefit from its stability, preventing flipping even with a flatter release. This disc suits beginners and experienced players alike, offering a putter that performs predictably in wind and under varying power. For straight putting and approach lines under 60 meters, it delivers consistent results.
