# Product Description MVP Wave The MVP Wave fills the gap between maximum distance and controllable flight as a distance driver from MVP Disc Sports. With a speed rating of 11, it achieves distances beyond 100 meters without demanding the extreme arm speed required by faster bombers. The narrower rim sits comfortably in the hand, allowing for clean releases even at moderate arm speeds. As a versatile distance driver, it works equally well for open fairways and controlled turnover lines when precision matters more than pure maximum distance. In flight, the Wave exhibits a gentle right drift in the mid-phase before the moderate fade stabilizes its path. The high glide rating of 5 noticeably extends hang time, compensating for the -2 turn through prolonged flight. When thrown with power, the disc initially holds stable on a hyzer release, then transitions smoothly into a controlled anhyzer before reliably fading back with its fade rating of 2. This flight pattern makes it more predictable than aggressive understable drivers that dump after turning over. The Neutron plastic offers the most solid stability, while Fission versions enhance turn and initiate the S-curve earlier due to reduced weight. Proton variants strike a balance between the two. For intermediate players with a range of 90 to 110 meters, the Wave serves as a primary distance driver that combines distance with control. Hyzer releases develop into wide S-curves, while flat throws produce smooth turnovers. The comfortable rim also provides a secure grip for forehand shots, where the disc reacts more stably than on backhand. Advanced players use it for controlled anhyzer shots or as a tailwind option when more stable drivers would fade too early. Beginners with developing arm speed will find a forgiving distance driver that still delivers real distance.
