The "Tangent" from MVP Disc Sports combines the stability of a midrange with the handling of a fast putter, specifically designed for beginners and players with moderate arm speed. With compact dimensions and a comfortable grip, it's ideal for precise approach shots and controlled fairway throws at shorter distances up to around 75 meters. Especially on windless days, the disc excels at straight approaches and clean landings near the basket. The Neutron and Plasma plastics offer different grips—Plasma with slightly more flex and Neutron with a firmer structure, though both lose some traction when wet. In flight, the "Tangent" holds nearly any line you give it. The minimal turn of -0.5 allows for gentle turnovers on flat releases, while the soft fade of 0.5 ensures controlled braking at the end without a sharp left pull. With moderate power, it stays straight, but with higher arm speed, it exhibits slightly more turnover than the flight numbers suggest. The high glide of 4 provides surprisingly long float, noticeably extending range on technically clean throws. Hyzer shots glide smoothly and land with minimal fade, while anhyzer lines hold steadily. For beginners, the "Tangent" offers a reliable platform to practice straight throws without the disc turning uncontrollably or fading too early. Advanced players use it for precise tunnel shots and controlled turnover lines where predictable flight behavior matters more than maximum distance. The disc forgives moderate angle mistakes and remains dependable in changing conditions—as long as there's no strong wind. Ideal for players seeking a reliable all-rounder between a putter and a classic midrange.
