The "Wrangler" by Lone Star Disc serves as a versatile fairway driver in the 9-speed category, covering controlled distance throws and precise fairway lines. With its overstable baseline, it excels in situations requiring reliable fade and resistance to unwanted turn. The profile is slightly shallower than comparable models, which may affect handling for some throwers. In Alpha and Bravo blends, the disc offers excellent grip and durability, while the Charlie plastic provides a firmer option. In flight, the "Wrangler" combines moderate glide with controlled stability. The speed of 9 allows even throwers with moderate arm speed to generate enough momentum for clean, straight releases. The -1 turn remains subtle, only appearing on powerful throws or slight anhyzers, without causing the disc to flip uncontrollably. The fade of 2 ensures a reliable finish that stays predictable even in windy conditions. This balance of mid-high-speed stability and dependable fade makes the flight path consistent and repeatable. For forehand throws, the "Wrangler" works exceptionally well as a flex disc: when thrown flat or with a slight anhyzer, it fights back controllably and lands with predictable fade. On backhand, it can be used for straight fairway shots as well as moderate hyzer lines. Advanced players will find it a solid option between straight control discs and highly overstable utility discs. Intermediate throwers benefit from its reliability with moderate power, while beginners with some experience can use it for controlled distance throws once they develop sufficient throwing speed.
