Overstable

The "Walker" by Lone Star Disc serves as an overstable midrange for situations demanding maximum reliability in wind and steep approaches. With a speed of 5 and fade of 4, it fits into the utility midrange category, staying stable in headwinds and responding well to forced hyzer throws with dependable fade. The low profile and bead on the inner rim create a compact grip position that works for both backhand and forehand. The disc competes directly with models like the Dynamic Discs Justice or Westside Gator but proves even more overstable in many throws. In flight, overstability dominates across all distances. The turn of 0 holds firm even on powerful throws, while the pronounced fade reliably pulls the disc left. Fresh discs, especially in Bravo Glow, show extreme resistance to any form of turn and behave like pure meathooks at first. With extended use, the flight becomes slightly more manageable but remains firmly in the overstable spectrum. The glide of 3 ensures controlled flight phases without unexpected float, allowing for precise landing zones. In headwinds, the disc holds its line without drifting, while in tailwinds, it maintains control where less stable midranges become unpredictable. For approach shots under 80 meters with steep hyzer angles, the "Walker" delivers consistent results. Forehand throws benefit from its extreme stability, preventing unwanted turnovers even on flatter releases. Advanced and experienced players use it strategically for skip shots, headwind scenarios, and forced approaches where other midranges exhibit too much turn. For beginners, the overstability can be challenging, as it requires high throwing speed and clean technique to achieve usable distances.
