Understable

The "Bearkat" by Lone Star Disc serves as an understable midrange, bridging the gap between controlled turnover lines and reliable anhyzer throws. With a speed of 5 and glide of 5, it stays airborne longer, making it ideal for fairway shots in mid-range distances that call for a gentle right curve (RHBH) or a smooth anhyzer line. This disc fills the stability gap between straighter midranges like the Texas Ranger and more overstable models, offering a practical addition to bag setups that demand precise curved throws. Beginners will find it accessible, as it develops turn even at moderate arm speeds without becoming uncontrollable. In flight, the -2 turn kicks in early, keeping the disc on a sustained right curve before the 1 fade ensures a gentle landing. Some individual discs may turn more than the flight numbers suggest, so testing one out is worthwhile. The high glide extends the flight phase, making the "Bearkat" predictable even in tailwinds or on shallow release angles. When thrown on hyzer, it reliably flips to flat and then turns right in a controlled manner, while anhyzer releases hold the line before fading late. This combination of early turn and moderate fade enables S-curves and long turnover shots without abrupt drifting. For forehand throws, the disc delivers stable turnover lines that are easy to control and don’t fade too hard at the end. Backhand throwers benefit from the ability to execute lines that are harder to achieve with more stable discs, such as tight tunnel shots with controlled right drift. Beginners will find the "Bearkat" a forgiving midrange that accommodates mistakes while still offering distance potential, while advanced players can use it strategically for shot shaping and filling gaps in their bag. In Alpha, Bravo, and Delta 1 plastics, the flight remains predictable, and the grip stays reliable.
