Hydrogen
The "Hydrogen" by Løft Discs fills a unique niche as a putter with a speed of 1. With glide 2, turn 0, and fade 0, it’s designed for perfectly straight flight paths without any lateral movement at the end. Its deep, rounded shape and flight numbers make it the ideal choice for precise short-range approaches and controlled putts, where any deviation from the target is immediately noticeable. Unlike classic putters with slight fade, the Hydrogen demands a flat release angle and clean technique—but rewards with straight flight even beyond 60 meters. Available in Alpha-Solid, Beta-Solid, and Gamma-Solid Glow plastics, it offers varying levels of grip for different conditions and elevations. In the air, its stability—with no turn or fade—becomes especially apparent: the disc holds its release line throughout the entire flight when thrown flat, with no tendency to drift left or right. The low glide ensures it loses altitude quickly and lands predictably, providing control for tight approach shots under trees or near baskets. If released with slight anhyzer or hyzer, it follows the exact angle without late-stage correction—the Hydrogen tracks precisely along the intended line. This characteristic, however, requires precise release angles, as minor mistakes won’t be compensated for by fade. The Hydrogen suits both beginners and advanced players equally, offering honest feedback on throwing technique without forgiving sloppy releases. Reliable for straight approach shots up to 70 meters, it excels in mid-range putting due to its predictability. Those who experience too much fade with overstable putters like the Luna or seek a tool for technique training will find the Hydrogen a consistently neutral alternative. While its deep shape takes some getting used to, it rewards players with stable flight control.
