# Legacy Rampage The "Rampage" by Legacy Discs is a maximum-distance driver with a speed of 14, designed for players with high arm speed. The wide rim and deep profile generate exceptional velocity on the course, particularly rewarding powerful throws. Pinnacle plastic provides a grippy surface, while Icon versions offer slightly less grip. This disc is clearly aimed at experienced players who can handle the combination of speed and overstable characteristics. With a glide of 5, the disc stays in the air for a long time despite its high speed, maintaining a stable flight path. The -1 turn only manifests as a slight right drift during the mid-flight phase on powerful throws, while weaker arms will hardly experience any turnover. The pronounced fade of 4 dominates the landing phase, ensuring a reliable left finish. This stability makes the disc usable in headwinds but requires sufficient throwing power for optimal distance. Positioned between the Ape and Boss, it occupies a specific stability niche in the overstable distance segment. Plastic types exhibit different flight characteristics—Pinnacle proves more consistent, while Icon versions sometimes show varying stability levels. For backhand throws, a flat release with full power is recommended to maximize flight distance. Hyzer shots take advantage of the strong fade for controlled distance lines with a dependable finish. Forehand throws benefit from the stability in windy conditions but demand precise technique due to the wide rim. Advanced players with high arm speed will find this a reliable max-distance driver, while those with moderate power may achieve better results with slower discs. Due to the required throwing power, the "Rampage" remains unsuitable for beginners.
