Pursuit
The "Pursuit" by Legacy Discs fills the niche for utility throws and reliable approach shots as an overstable midrange. With a speed of 5 and fade of 3, it stands among the consistently stable midranges in its category, ideal for situations where other discs with a claimed fade of 3 actually show significantly less finish. The beadless rim and moderate flexibility of the Icon plastic ensure a comfortable grip for powerful throws. As a reference, it sits between the Zone and the Badger—more stable than typical all-around midranges like the Buzzz OS, but not as extreme as pure overstability specialists. In flight, the "Pursuit" maintains a reliably stable trajectory with no turn, even at high arm speeds or in headwinds. The disc holds flat release angles consistently and fades predictably hard left on backhand throws. With a glide of 3, it keeps flight time moderate, favoring precise landings on hyzer approach lines. Its strength becomes especially clear on flex shots: the disc works its way back from anhyzer in a controlled manner and lands with dependable fade. For forehand throws, it provides a stable platform that won’t turn over even on flat releases, staying accurate up to about 75 meters. For advanced players, the "Pursuit" serves as a go-to disc for approach shots under 80 meters where the disc needs to hit the ground quickly. On hyzer lines, it sticks reliably, and on forehand throws, it often replaces multiple utility discs. Beginners may find its stability challenging, as the disc forgives little and dumps early with insufficient arm speed. Intermediate players can use it strategically for windy conditions and forced hyzers, while pros appreciate it as a precise tool for technical approach shots.
