Fighter
The "Fighter" by Legacy Discs is an overstable distance driver with a speed of 10, designed to battle the wind and execute extreme fade lines. With a glide of 3 and fade of 4, it flies flat and reliably finishes with a hard left turn—making it a go-to tool for situations where other discs might drift uncontrollably. On the course, it often replaces utility midranges like Dynamic Discs' "Justice," but delivers significantly more distance while maintaining comparable reliability. In Icon plastic, its overstability is particularly pronounced: even in headwinds, the flight remains stable without flipping right. In the air, the "Fighter" behaves like an uncompromising meathook. Its 0 turn holds firm even on powerful throws—the disc won’t drift right but instead holds its hyzer line or immediately fades from a flat release. The pronounced left turn kicks in early and drops sharply, enabling distances beyond 100 meters but demanding precise angle control. It’s poorly suited for anhyzer shots; its strength lies in clean hyzer throws and scramble situations where the fade can curve around obstacles. Forehand throws work with enough spin, but backhand leverages the extreme stability more effectively. Advanced and experienced players use the "Fighter" strategically for utility shots: left doglegs, headwind drives, or emergency throws from tricky positions. Beginners, however, should steer clear—insufficient arm speed results in short, uncontrolled fades without forward momentum. Those already comfortable with overstable fairway drivers like the "Felon" and seeking greater distance with similar reliability will find this disc a natural progression. The "Fighter" demands clean technique and precise line planning but delivers absolute predictability in all conditions.
