Elder
The "Elder" by Launch Disc Golf fills the gap between maximum distance and controllable lines as a distance driver. With a speed of 12, it's designed for medium to long-range throws where both beginners and advanced players benefit from its combination of reach and forgiveness. This driver excels in situations where classic overstable bombers fade too early and pure turnover discs become hard to control. In flight, the Elder shows balanced characteristics: the speed 12 provides solid initial velocity, while the glide 6 extends its flight phase. With -2 turn, it allows moderate right movement on backhand throws with a flat release without becoming uncontrollable. The fade of 2 reliably brings the disc back at the end without abrupt dumping. This stability makes it a dependable option for predictable S-curves. On straight lines, the disc holds its path with a clean release before drifting moderately right and finishing with gentle fade. Hyzer throws produce wide, even curves, while slight anhyzer angles create pronounced S-shapes. For forehand players, the controlled turn offers flexibility without instability. Beginners achieve usable distances with moderate arm speed, while experienced throwers can shape various lines with precise angles. The Elder works as a versatile distance driver for players of different skill levels.
