Sweep
The "Sweep" by Latitude 64 fills the gap between a fast fairway driver and a controlled distance driver in the overstable category. With a speed of 9 and glide of 6, it offers enough range for longer fairways, while its moderate stability (turn -0.5, fade 2) ensures reliable flight paths even at higher arm speeds. The Royal Grand plastic combines premium feel with excellent grip and durability. The slightly domed top provides comfortable hand contact and supports clean releases for both backhand and forehand throws. In the air, the Sweep displays a direct, powerful flight with minimal turn. The -0.5 allows for a straight line with slight drift to the right on a flat release before the fade of 2 ensures a predictable finish. On hyzer throws, it holds the line steadily and pushes forward with control, resisting early turnovers. The high glide rating of 6 noticeably extends the flight phase, making the disc more efficient than many other speed 9 drivers. Forehand throws benefit from its overstability, especially in windy conditions, while backhand players can shape reliable S-curves with moderate anhyzer angles. For advanced players with medium to high arm speed, the Sweep reaches its full potential. It excels in precise fairway shots between 90 and 110 meters where control matters more than maximum distance. Intermediate players appreciate its forgiveness on slightly imperfect releases, and it still flies usable lines even with lower power. Positioned as a more stable alternative to the classic Saint, it’s ideal for headwind situations and technical layouts where reliability outweighs aggressive turns.
