# Latitude 64 Strive The Latitude 64 "Strive" is a speed 13 distance driver that excels in maximum distance performance. With official flight ratings of 5 glide, -1 turn, and 3 fade, it positions itself as an overstable high-speed driver, yet in practice, it behaves much more accessibly than the numbers suggest. The Royal Grand plastic not only provides excellent grip but also comfortable handling despite its high-speed class. This disc is particularly suited for throwers seeking maximum distance without requiring extreme overstability. In flight, the "Strive" behaves noticeably more understable than its flight ratings imply. At full arm speed, it exhibits a distinct turnover phase that can result in sustained right-turning flights when released flat. The glide carries the disc far, while the fade at the end is milder than the rating of 3 would suggest. This combination allows for long, controlled throws with a gentler finish. In headwinds, the disc is more sensitive than typical overstable speed 13 drivers and tends to turn over. Its actual stability leans closer to neutral or slightly understable distance drivers, setting it apart from classic power-overstable discs like the Rive. For advanced players with sufficient arm speed, the "Strive" delivers reliable distance gains on open fairways. The disc rewards clean releases with maximum distance and can be thrown on hyzer-flip lines or controlled turnover paths. Beginners, however, may struggle with the speed class—without adequate power, the disc remains stable and fails to reach its full potential. Intermediate players will find the "Strive" a great training tool for transitioning to true distance drivers, though they should account for its wind sensitivity and more understable flight characteristics compared to the official ratings.
