River Pro
The Latitude 64 "River Pro" expands the successful River concept with a more stable version for controlled fairway throws between 75 and 95 meters. With a speed of 6, it bridges the gap between straight all-purpose drivers and true utility discs—especially in Opto and Gold Line plastic, it proves to be a reliable workhorse for technical fairways and moderate headwind conditions. The deeper profile sits comfortably in the hand, offering instant control while still delivering enough glide for efficient distance. In flight, the River Pro holds a hyzer line much longer than the standard River before exhibiting a moderate fade at the end of its flight. A turn rating of 0 reflects a truly neutral to slightly overstable character—even with powerful throws, the disc stays on its intended line without unwanted rightward drift. Opto plastic enhances this stability compared to Gold Line versions, which respond a bit earlier to flat releases. The glide rating of 5 ensures the disc doesn’t drop prematurely, completing its flight cleanly. Compared to the River, the Pro version offers noticeably more resistance to turnovers and a more reliable fade finish. For intermediate players, the River Pro serves as a first overstable fairway option that remains controllable even at higher arm speeds. Advanced players value it for precise hyzer approaches and as a counterpart to more understable 6-speed drivers in their bag. Forehand throws benefit from its stability on straight to slightly anhyzer lines, while backhand players rely on it for dependable dogleg-left shots and tunnel shots. Beginners with clean form can already use this disc but should maintain moderate throwing speed to fully utilize its glide.
