Claymore
The Latitude 64 "Claymore" is a versatile midrange disc with a speed of 5, glide of 5, turn of -1, and fade of 1. It excels in controlled straight flights at medium distances, thanks to its moderate stability and high glide. The flat profile makes it easy to grip, especially for smaller hands, while its neutral flight characteristics make it a reliable choice for approach shots and fairway drives. In Opto plastic, it offers a tacky and durable feel, while the Frost-Line variant provides added stability for straighter throws with minimal turn or fade. In flight, the Claymore holds its intended line with precision. While the official flight numbers suggest slight turn, in practice, it behaves more like a 0-turn disc, flying reliably straight. The high glide ensures solid distance with moderate arm speed, and the gentle fade at the end ensures predictable landings. Fresh discs fly extremely neutral, and even after wear, they largely retain their straight-flight characteristics. Its torque resistance sits between a Mako and a Buzzz—enough for most lines without being overly stable. In Retro plastic, it breaks in faster into a slightly understable version suitable for turnover shots. For hyzer releases, the Claymore glides out smoothly and levels out, while flat throws hold straight without drifting. Anhyzer lines can be executed cleanly without the disc flipping uncontrollably. Both backhand and forehand throws work reliably, though the flat profile favors forehand grips. The Claymore suits beginners and advanced players alike, offering a forgiving, straight-flying midrange for precise approaches and fairway control. Even experienced players value it as a dependable workhorse for tunnel shots and technical lines.
