Amber
The "Amber" by Latitude 64 is specifically designed for beginners in the distance category, offering an accessible option for long throws without requiring high arm speed. As an understable distance driver with a speed of 11, it allows newcomers to step up to faster discs without demanding technical precision or excessive power. Its use ranges from open fairways to controlled distance attempts, where the disc performs well even with moderate power. In flight, the disc's characteristics—thanks to its high glide of 6 and turn of -3—make it exceptionally eager to fly and turn. After release, the Amber clearly banks to the right (for right-handed backhand throws) and uses this phase to build distance. The fade of 2 ensures a moderate finish, rounding out the flight path without sacrificing the gained distance. This combination of strong turn and controlled finish allows for stable trajectories over longer distances, even at lower throwing speeds. The Amber is particularly well-suited for turnover lines, as it reliably holds the right curve and produces wide S-shapes with a flat release or slight anhyzer. Backhand throws unlock its potential even for beginners, while forehand throws with anhyzer also work well if the rotation is correct. Hyzer releases result in pronounced flip-up flights that blend distance and control. As an entry-level distance disc, the Amber provides forgiving flight dynamics without a steep learning curve.
