Rollo
The Innova "Rollo" is an extremely understable midrange with a clear focus for beginners and turnover lines. With a speed of 5 and exceptional glide of 6, it achieves noticeable distance even with low arm speed, while its turn of -4 and fade of 1 create pronounced right-turning flights for right-handed players. The flat top and beveled rim resemble a fairway driver, while the large diameter remains typical of midranges. Star and Champion plastics dominate its use, though even max weight in Champion barely tames its extreme understability. For beginners, the disc enables early distance success without perfect release technique, as it turns right noticeably even with slight anhyzer or flat throws. In flight, the "Rollo" immediately shows its agility: minimal throwing power triggers the turn, and with more snap, it quickly transitions into a turnover flight. When thrown on hyzer, it rapidly corrects the angle and sweeps into a wide right curve, making hyzer flips accessible even for novices. Released flat or with anhyzer, it exhibits continuous right turn all the way to roller potential—though controlled edge landings require precise timing. The moderate fade of 1 kicks in late and weakly, leaving the flight path predominantly shaped by turn. Advanced players must deliberately use hyzer angles and nose-up releases to avoid overturning; without these adjustments, every throw risks becoming a roller. For beginners and kids, the "Rollo" provides direct access to distance and turnover shapes that remain out of reach with more stable discs. Intermediate players value it for intentional rollers and extreme anhyzer lines where other midranges would fade too early. For forehand throws, the disc remains challenging, as even slight power can lead to uncontrolled flipping. Those seeking a midrange for classic straight lines will find better options in more stable models—but the "Rollo" excels wherever maximum turn and playful turnover experiments are desired.
