The Innova "Roadrunner" positions itself as a versatile fairway driver for beginners and a dedicated turnover tool for experienced players. With a speed of 9, it remains controllable while its pronounced -4 turn makes it an ideal choice for players still developing their throwing speed or those seeking intentional right-turning flight paths. The disc's profile features a convex rim of medium width with slightly greater depth, ensuring a secure grip. It particularly shines in Star and GStar plastics: Star offers durability with consistent flight characteristics, while GStar provides extra grip and a bit more flexibility. Champion versions tend to start slightly more stable and only develop their full turnover characteristics with wear. In flight, the "Roadrunner" immediately reveals its understable nature after release. Its high glide rating of 5 keeps it airborne longer, while the extreme -4 turn generates continuous right-turning curves. The moderate fade of 1 ensures a gentle landing without a hard fade at the end. At moderate arm speed, it flies nearly straight with a slight right drift, while powerful throws produce pronounced turnover flights. Lighter weights around 160 grams enhance its understable nature, while heavier discs around 173 grams may initially feel more stable and require more break-in time. For backhand throws, the "Roadrunner" excels at anhyzer lines and controlled turnovers, though it also responds well to hyzer releases with a flip-to-flat flight. Forehand players use it for long roller shots, where it remains stable on edge. Beginners benefit from its forgiveness on off-axis torque, while advanced players leverage it for tunnel shots and dogleg-right paths. Distances beyond 90 meters are achievable with moderate technique, and experienced throwers can reach significantly farther.
