The Innova "Gazelle" is a Speed 6 fairway driver that positions itself as a versatile companion for controlled throws in the mid-range distance. With its moderate speed, it works well for shorter drives as well as precise approach shots around 60 meters. Available in DX, GStar, and Pro plastic, it offers an accessible option, with the softer material altering flight characteristics over time and opening up various use cases. In flight, the Gazelle exhibits stable behavior with Glide 4, ensuring a pleasant float. Fresh out of the box, it flies straighter than a Teebird and provides sufficient resistance against unwanted drift with its Turn 0. The Fade of 2 delivers a reliable left finish without being overly aggressive. After a few tree hits, especially the DX version evolves into a straight to slightly anhyzer disc, unlocking new throwing options. The flight path remains predictable, making it suitable for fairway drives where control matters more than maximum distance. For beginners with some experience, the Gazelle offers a gentle introduction to more stable fairway drivers without being overly demanding. Advanced players appreciate it for technical shots on tight fairways and as a reliable tool for approach situations. The disc performs well with both backhand and forehand throws, allowing for clean hyzer lines as well as controlled straight flights. If you're looking for an all-around mid-range disc that becomes more flexible with wear, the Gazelle is a solid choice for everyday play.
