The "Roman" by Infinite Discs is an overstable distance driver, serving as the direct successor to the proven PD mold. Designed primarily for advanced players, it acts as a versatile workhorse. With a speed of 10, it bridges the gap between fairway drivers and faster distance discs while offering enough stability for powerful throws in the wind without becoming uncontrollable. Its flat profile ensures a comfortable grip for both forehand and backhand throws, with different plastic blends—especially Metal Flake Glow C-Blend and Halo S-Blend—providing subtle variations in stability. In flight, the Roman exhibits a reliably overstable pattern with 0 turn and 3 fade, yet remains adaptable. Unlike older PD variants, it doesn’t start extremely overstable but holds straight lines before the strong fade kicks in at the end. A glide rating of 4 supports solid distance beyond 120 meters without unwanted drift. Over time, the I-Blend version breaks into a straighter flight with dependable fade, while more stable plastics like MF Glow C-Blend retain their original overstability longer, making them a reliable counterpart to the Dynasty. For powerful forehand and backhand throws, the Roman delivers precise control and remains steady even in headwinds. It excels on hyzer lines but can also handle flex shots, reliably fading back after initial turn. Advanced players with sufficient arm speed will find a controllable all-rounder for the fairway, combining distance with predictability. However, beginners may struggle with its stability and required speed.
