Stability
Overstable

The "Raze" by Infinite Discs serves as an overstable approach putter for controlled shots under 60 meters. With a speed of 3, it bridges the gap between putters and traditional approach discs, positioning itself in Infinite's lineup as a more stable alternative to the "Ruin." Its flat to slightly domed profile offers a comfortable grip, while the disc excels on the course, particularly for backhand throws. In C-Blend Glow and R-Blend plastics, it exhibits different landing behaviors: R-Blend stays put on impact, while the firmer plastics allow for minimal ground play. In the air, the "Raze" resists torque and holds hyzer lines without unwanted turn. Its flight stays straight with a controlled, predictable fade at the end—no abrupt skip, just a forward-pushing glide. This stability performs reliably in the wind, enabling flat releases that won’t drift right even at lower release heights. The 0 Turn and 3 Fade accurately describe its behavior: the disc holds its chosen line and lands securely. It’s less suited for anhyzer throws, as it quickly returns to a hyzer angle. Intermediate to advanced players value the "Raze" for technical approach situations where precision outweighs distance. Beginners can handle its overstability if they’ve mastered basic throwing technique—the disc rewards clean releases but punishes mistakes in control. For comparison, those familiar with Discraft’s "Zone" will find a slightly slower but equally dependable option here. Some even use the "Raze" successfully for putting, as its stable flight ensures a straight path to the chains from short range.
