Silent Cruiser
The "Silent Cruiser" by Guru Disc Golf operates as an overstable midrange with a speed of 5 and glide of 5, fitting into the controlled distance category. With a turn of 0 and fade of 2.5, it covers the range between straight throws and reliable finishes without slipping into extreme utility territory. This disc fills a gap for players seeking more stability than classic neutral midranges but less overstability than typical wind fighters. In the Sune Sport Line, it currently stands as the only option with this stability level. In flight, it displays an unusual profile: The glide of 5 feels noticeably pronounced, keeping the disc airborne longer than the speed rating suggests—several throws indicate behavior closer to speed 6. Stability remains consistent throughout the flight, with no early turn even at higher arm speeds. The fade kicks in reliably, bringing the disc back left in a controlled manner while staying moderate enough for predictable landings. This combination of extended glide and predictable finish creates flight paths that stand out from standard midranges. For approach shots between 60 and 80 meters, the "Silent Cruiser" delivers precise results, especially on hyzer lines with a straight midsection and dependable fade. Forehand throws benefit from its stability against unwanted turn, while backhand players can use it for controlled S-curves with a flat release. Advanced throwers appreciate its versatility between straight approaches and moderate hyzers. Even intermediate players find it accessible, as the overstability isn’t extreme, and the high glide forgives inconsistencies in throw speed. In S-Plastic and Glacier Line, it offers excellent grip.
