Expedition
The "Expedition" by Full Turn Discs is an understable distance driver with a speed of 11, designed for controlled distance throws on curved flight paths. Its configuration makes it ideal for players seeking maximum distance without excessive arm speed, as well as for precise turnover lines and S-curves in open terrain. As a distance driver with moderate speed requirements, it bridges the gap between technical fairway drivers and pure power discs. In flight, the disc's characteristics stand out thanks to its pronounced glide of 5 combined with a turn of -2: After release, the disc turns controllably to the right (for right-handed backhand throws) and uses its hang time to gain extra distance. The moderate fade of 1 ensures a gentle landing phase without a harsh hook, resulting in a smooth, sweeping flight path. This balance between turn and fade allows for predictable flight patterns even in shifting wind conditions—unless strong headwinds amplify its understable nature. In practice, this means: Anhyzer releases enhance the turnover effect for maximum roll distance, while slight hyzer angles produce long S-curves. Forehand throws benefit from the natural flex characteristic, where the disc transitions from anhyzer into a controlled fade. Intermediate players with moderate arm speed can use the "Expedition" for throws beyond the 100-meter mark, while experienced throwers will find it ideal for technical turnover shots and roller lines. Tailwinds further enhance its flight performance.
