Yin
The EV-7 "Yin" is an overstable putter with a speed of 1, designed for controlled approach shots and putting. It excels at short distances up to around 50 meters, where precision and reliable fade are crucial. With minimal speed and strong fade stability, it performs well in windy conditions and technical approaches where unpredictable drift must be avoided. Despite its low speed, the high glide rating of 4 ensures sufficient flight time, while a turn rating of 0 eliminates unwanted rightward movement for right-handed backhand throws. In flight, the "Yin" maintains a straight initial phase with minimal turnover potential. Its glide keeps it airborne longer than many other putters in this speed class before the fade (rated 1) takes over, pulling the flight path predictably left. Stability holds up even in moderate headwinds, keeping the trajectory consistent. Compared to neutral putters like the "Luna" or "P2," the "Yin" offers more resistance to crosswinds and early turn tendencies, placing it closer to overstable molds like the "Zone," though with significantly lower speed. For hyzer approaches at short range, the "Yin" delivers reliable fade curves without excessive skip. In forehand shots, it works as a safe option for straight to slightly anhyzer lines, while in backhand anhyzer throws, it drifts only minimally right before the fade kicks in. With recommended skill levels of 3 and 5, both advanced beginners and experienced players benefit from its blend of control and glide, especially in technical upshot scenarios.
