Stability
Overstable

The "Conflict" by Essential Discs serves as an overstable putter for precise approach shots and reliable putting lines in challenging conditions. With a speed of 2, it remains in the slowest category, making it ideal for controlled approaches up to around 60 meters and for putts where wind or obstacles demand a stable flight path. This putter covers situations where neutral or understable models would show too much drift. The flight characteristics combine moderate glide of 3 with a straight turn of 0 and a strong fade of 2. After release, the disc holds its line without lateral drift before the fade reliably pulls it left at the end. This stability makes it less prone to unwanted turnovers and ensures predictable landing zones. The pronounced fade allows it to stay secure in headwinds or on hyzer angles without uncontrolled drifting. For approach shots, the "Conflict" works on flat to slightly anhyzer angles, with the fade always ensuring a left-side landing. On short hyzer lines, the effect is amplified, while anhyzer releases require significant power and quickly fade back. Forehand throws benefit from the overstability, as the disc won’t flip over even with an off-axis release. The low learning curve makes it suitable for beginners as well as experienced players looking for a dependable utility putter for specific situations.
