Screech
The "Screech" by Elevation Disc Golf is an overstable midrange designed for precise approach shots and windy conditions. With a speed of 4, it excels in controlled throws at medium distances where reliable fade is more crucial than maximum distance. Its extreme fade rating of 4 combined with a low glide of 2 makes it a utility disc for technical lines and challenging conditions. Comparable to discs like the Innova Gator or Westside Anvil, it serves as a tool for situations where other midranges exhibit too much glide or turn. In flight, the disc maintains a straight, stable trajectory with no turn. The speed of 4 allows for moderate throwing power, while the zero turn rating prevents any unwanted rightward movement. The dominant fade of 4 ensures a sharp left hook at the end of the flight path, kicking in early and predictably. The low glide of 2 limits hang time, resulting in a flatter, more direct trajectory—ideal for precise landing zones without uncontrolled float. For hyzer throws, the disc consistently holds the angle and lands reliably left of the throwing line. On anhyzer, it fights against the angle and quickly returns to its fade. Forehand throws benefit from its torque resistance and stable flight characteristics. Intermediate to advanced players will find the "Screech" useful for headwind approaches, left-turning doglegs, and situations requiring a quick drop without risk of rollaways. On technical courses with tight gaps, it delivers dependable control.
