Renegade
The "Renegade" by Dynamic Discs operates as a Speed 11 distance driver, bridging the gap between controlled distance and maximum range. Its flat profile and low rim make it easier to handle for players with smaller hands, while the combination of high glide and moderate turn enables distance gains even with moderate arm speed. In Lucid plastic, it offers a grippy, medium-flex material with a clear appearance, while BioFuzion and Lucid Air provide additional consistency and weight options. This disc sits between classic turnover drivers and stable bombers—ideal for players seeking distance without extreme overstability. The flight begins with noticeable glide and develops turn at full speed, varying depending on arm speed and plastic. Some Lucid versions stay close to the stated -1.5 turn, producing controlled S-curves, while others exhibit stronger turn and may drift right faster with too much hyzer or insufficient power. The reliable 2.5 fade kicks in at the end but doesn’t snap back abruptly—resulting in a flat landing angle with good ground play. Hyzer releases remain stable, using the turn for gentle right turns, while anhyzer releases enable sharper turnover lines. Tailwind noticeably amplifies the turn, while headwind demands clean releases. For intermediate players with max distances of 80–100 meters, the "Renegade" unlocks extra distance through its glide and moderate stability. Advanced throwers use it for controlled distance lines and precise S-curves, while beginners can also find success with a clean release—provided they have enough arm speed to activate the turn. Forehand throws work well with stable versions, but backhand remains the primary technique for maximizing distance. Perfect for open fairways and situations where classic overstable drivers would fade out too early.
