The "Convict" by Dynamic Discs is an overstable fairway driver with a speed of 9, bridging the gap between classic fairways and faster distance drivers. With a glide of 4, turn of -0.5, and fade of 3, it excels in situations requiring controlled distance and reliable fade. In practice, the disc proves more stable than its flight numbers suggest—many users experience minimal turn and a strong finish. The flat top and slightly wider rim for a speed 9 disc ensure a comfortable grip for forehand throws, while Lucid and Fuzion Burst plastics are the most common variants. Unlike pure utility discs, the "Convict" remains manageable for intermediate players without sacrificing wind resistance. In flight, the disc follows a neutral to slightly S-shaped path with a late, hard fade. The subtle turn allows for straight lines over mid-range distances up to about 110 meters before the fade kicks in noticeably. In tailwinds or at higher altitudes, the overstability may become more pronounced, keeping the flight straighter. Forehand throws benefit from the combination of a flat profile and dependable finish—the disc forgives moderate off-axis torque and lands predictably. Backhand throws are equally precise, though players with lower arm speed may struggle to activate the turn and will experience a more hyzer-heavy flight. Compared to an Innova Leopard3, the "Convict" offers more end stability while maintaining a similar speed range. For intermediate players, this disc is a solid choice for controlled fairway shots and light headwind conditions. Advanced players use it for precise hyzer lines and forehand approaches, while beginners with higher arm speed can gain their first experience with stable fairways. Its versatility in both backhand and forehand makes the "Convict" a reliable slot-filler for straight to overstable lines without slipping into utility disc territory.
