The "Rot" by Doomsday Discs is a versatile putter with a speed of 2, glide of 4, turn of 0, and fade of 1, operating in the range between straight approaches and controlled landings. The bead on the inner rim ensures defined hand contact and supports clean releases for both putting and approaching. With slight overstability, it's ideal for precise mid-range approaches and reliable finishes to the basket under varying conditions. Available in Ration, Shockwave, and Soft Ration plastics, the disc caters to different grip preferences—Shockwave for firm hold and Soft Ration for a cushioned landing. The Rot replaces established models like the Envy in many setups, positioning itself as a direct alternative to the Link with a slightly smaller bead and flatter profile. In flight, the Rot follows a straight path with a stable mid-section and predictable fade at the end. The glide of 4 carries the disc farther than classic beaded putters with a speed of 2, while the turn of 0 prevents unwanted turnovers at moderate arm speeds. The overstability kicks in late, keeping the line straight until just before landing, then tilting left in a controlled manner. In tailwinds, the disc holds its line without drifting, and in headwinds, it remains stable without flipping prematurely. Approach shots from 30 to 50 meters benefit from the combination of glide and late fade, enabling precise placements near the basket. For putting and short approaches, the Rot performs well both from a standstill and with a short run-up. Hyzer lines slightly enhance the fade, while flat releases extend the straight phase. This disc is especially suited for beginners looking for a reliable putter with low risk of error, as well as advanced players who need a straight approach putter with a defined finish. Forehand approaches benefit from its stability, while backhand putts appreciate its clean flight path without unexpected movements.
