Stability
Understable

The "Pestilence" by Doomsday Discs operates as an extremely understable distance driver with Speed 13, deliberately teetering on the edge of controlled instability. With a Turn of -4 and minimal Fade of 1, it primarily targets throwers with moderate arm speed who aim to achieve distance without maximum power, as well as experienced players looking for specialized roller and turnover lines. The high Glide of 5 noticeably extends flight time and compensates for lack of throwing power—even at 60% normal acceleration, the disc reliably flips into a turnover. For beginners with slower arm speeds, it unlocks distances of 80 to 100 meters that remain out of reach with more stable high-speed drivers. In the Radioactive Waste and Toxic Waste plastics, it consistently exhibits its understable nature, though some X-out models may fly more neutrally. In flight, early right turn dominates—the disc flips up with minimal power and holds the turnover throughout its trajectory. The minimal Fade means it barely slows at the end, allowing S-curves to glide out smoothly rather than stopping abruptly. Compared to a seasoned Katana (13|5|-3|3), the "Pestilence" turns far more aggressively and forgoes late-stage stabilization. It’s less suited for powerful throws as a straight distance driver—here, the turn becomes a challenge requiring precise angle control. On anhyzer lines, the disc delivers dramatic right turns with maximum ground-skimming potential, ideal for low tunnel shots under branches. Hyzer flips come easily even with reduced technique—the disc quickly stands up and drifts right with no hard fade back. As a roller, it performs almost automatically—moderate power makes it flip immediately and roll across the ground. Advanced players exploit this trait for distance records in open terrain, while beginners experience how a Speed 13 driver can fly without pro-level power. Those who prefer stable discs will find the opposite here—the "Pestilence" is a specialized tool for turnovers and rollers, not an all-rounder.
