The "Leviathan" by Divergent Discs is a midrange with pronounced understability, catering to beginners and newcomers looking to achieve long, controlled throws with minimal arm speed. On short, technical courses and approach shots up to around 60 meters, it enables straight flight paths effortlessly. For experienced players, it serves as a utility disc for extreme turnover lines or as a roller option when traditional midranges prove too stable. In the air, its speed of 5 combined with glide 4 provides an accessible foundation, while a turn of -4 and fade of 0 ensure an immediate rightward turn for right-handed throwers. With moderate throwing speed, the disc flies straight for a long distance and glides smoothly without fading left at the end. Higher arm speed significantly amplifies the turn—the disc quickly banks right and holds that line until landing or transitions directly into a roller. Hyzer flips are achievable with minimal power, as the disc quickly flattens out and continues drifting right. The lack of fade allows for precise landings on straight or right-curving lines but demands accurate release angles to prevent unwanted overturning. For beginners and players with lower throwing power, the "Leviathan" is ideal for maximizing distance potential and learning turnover techniques. Advanced players use it strategically for tight tunnel shots with a right bend or for rollers when the fairway leaves no room for fade. Backhand throws benefit from the easy activation of the turn, while forehand throws require precise angle control to prevent the disc from flipping uncontrollably. As a complement to more stable midranges like the Kastaplast Svea or similar models, it offers the most understable flight behavior in this category.
