Lawin
The "Lawin" by Divergent Discs functions as a high-speed distance driver with a speed of 12 and noticeable turn, designed for maximum distance at moderate arm speeds. With flight ratings of 12|5|-3|2, it primarily targets beginners and intermediate throwers looking to achieve big distances without extreme throwing power. The pronounced dome and soft Max Grip plastic ensure a comfortable hand feel, while the disc unlocks its full potential even at medium arm speeds. As a distance driver for players still refining their technique, it offers access to throws beyond the 100-meter mark without requiring pro-level power. In flight, the "Lawin" exhibits clear understable behavior with pronounced rightward movement on backhand throws. The high turn of -3 kicks in early, creating long S-curves where the disc initially drifts significantly right before the moderate fade of 2 ensures a controlled landing. The glide of 5 noticeably extends hangtime and flight distance. At full power, the disc tends to turn over aggressively and may feel too unstable for more experienced throwers—controlled throws at 70–80% power deliver the most consistent results. The soft plastic speeds up break-in, making the disc even more understable over time. For beginners, the "Lawin" works well as a distance tool once basic techniques are mastered—absolute newcomers should opt for slower discs first. Intermediate throwers can use it for controlled turnover lines and sweeping S-curves on open fairways. Hyzer releases help counter the instability, producing straighter flights with gentle rightward drift. Forehand throws are less recommended due to its high understability. As a roller option at max power or a loaner disc for new players, the "Lawin" offers additional versatility in the bag.
