Zone GT
The Discraft Zone GT expands the proven Zone concept with a groove track in the thumb placement area, catering to players who prioritize controlled grip and reliable stability on approach shots. As an overstable midrange with a speed of 4, glide of 3, turn of 0, and fade of 3, it covers distances between 60 and 90 meters and excels in precise wind-cheating approaches or utility shots where the disc needs to reliably hook left. The thumb groove ensures a repeatable hand position and reduces miscues, particularly noticeable in forehand throws. Available in ESP, Titanium, and Z Line plastics, the Zone GT delivers a stable flight path with dependable fade, with Titanium versions tending to pull slightly harder to the left. In flight, the Zone GT behaves nearly identically to the standard Zone: it resists turn, holds its line even at high arm speeds, and finishes with a strong fade. The glide of 3 keeps the disc airborne long enough for controlled landings without unwanted drift. In headwinds, the flight remains stable, pushing forward reliably before consistently fading left at the finish. This blend of stability and moderate glide makes it a precise tool for technical holes where overshooting must be avoided. On hyzer lines, the Zone GT enhances its fade, landing reliably left of the target line, while on anhyzer it fights against its natural stability and snaps back early. Forehand players especially benefit from the groove track, which provides a secure grip and maintains control even on fast releases. For backhand, it suits powerful approach shots and scramble situations where predictable fade is key. Intermediate players will find the Zone GT a dependable approach disc, while advanced players can leverage it for technical lines and wind play.
