Malita
The "Malita" from Discraft combines the distance of a speed-5 midrange with more compact dimensions than classic midrange discs. The shallower rim and reduced depth make it an alternative for players who appreciate the flight of traditional midranges but struggle with larger diameters or deep rims. With flight ratings of 5 | 5 | -1 | 1, it sits between the stability of a "Buzzz" and the agility of a "Buzzz SS," making it ideal for controlled distance throws on the fairway and precise mid-range approach shots. In Signature ESP plastic, it offers a balanced blend of grip and durability. In flight, the "Malita" exhibits a slightly understable path with gentle turn, producing a straight to minimally drifting right line on a clean release. The high glide rating of 5 extends the flight phase and adds extra distance without aggressive fade at the end. The combination of moderate turn and restrained fade of 1 keeps the disc on predictable lines without requiring major adjustments. On anhyzer releases, effortless turnover lines can be shaped, while hyzer throws land with a controlled S-curve. For backhand throws, the "Malita" offers versatile applications, from straight fairway lines to precise turnover shots where the late fade still provides enough ground control. On forehand throws, it remains stable enough for precise releases without immediately flipping right. Advanced players can rely on it as a dependable workhorse for various release angles, while beginners and intermediate throwers benefit from its forgiving flight path and easy distance gains. Switching from a fan grip to a power grip can further enhance distance if the initial handling feels unfamiliar.
